Logan returned from the meeting.
Logan: Chris?
She was lying with her back toward him, but he saw that she wasn’t sleeping. She was crying.
Logan: Christine?
She couldn’t stop crying.
Logan: Christine… 
Chris choking: I didn’t want you to see me like that.
Logan: It’s ok… You don’t have to be fake with me.
Chris: I know.
Logan: I’ll help you. I regret I didn’t before… I didn’t take care of you when Dexter left you… I was angry… because I couldn’t watch you suffer.
Chris: No, no … Logan…. Please… don’t say that.
Logan: I knew it was a hard time for you… and I didn’t do anything.
Chris sobbing: Oh Logan… I’m so sorry… for everything.

She started crying even more.

He hugged her. She leaned her forehead against his chest and struggled to get her tears under control. He felt his shirt getting wet. He was hiding from this so many times. He didn’t know what to do so he was waiting patiently, fighting his emotions.

Logan: Hello father. 
Victor: Were you ever going to appear at the management meeting?
Logan with a sigh: No.
Victor: Then I’ve done well to bring your suit.
Logan: I’m not going anywhere.
Victor: You know we have an agreement. I need you!
Logan: I’m doing everything you want me to! I deal with local partners, with mergers and investments…. I’m at your beck and call. Christine needs me. I can’t leave her now. 
Victor: I need you too! The company needs you! Besides, Christine is in good hands. We’ve put so many Simoleons into this hospital that, with their gratitude, they won’t let harm come to a single hair on her head. Logan, just be reasonable.
Logan resignedly: You never let go.
Victor: I’ll call a nurse. She’ll watch her all the time… And you quickly change your outfit.
He left the room. Logan looked sadly at Christine.

 Logan whishpering: I’ll be back as soon as possible.

She didn’t hear, because she fell back into a deep sleep.
